Road trip!

After thinking that I had no plans but to rest for this past weekend I end up driving down to Los Angeles to pick up my Aunt who came to visit, It was a fun road trip... that's what I call it when you are able to stop anywhere at 2 am in the morning and try to take interesting pictures in the middle of nowhere but long roads in a foggy night.
Since the rest of the passengers where inebriated I had no complains about the freezing cold or the time I took trying to get a good picture, in the contrary they were happy to pose for me and help, I don't believe you'll be seen those pictures hehe, but here are some of the ones that I took including the one of the Christmas present I'm wishing for (by the way that one was a cell photo) the new line of The Doors Chuck's I want them!!

It's over...

Finally the Thanksgiving weekend is over!, between preparing all that food and eating it I think I must of gain at least a couple of pounds that I had so desperately been trying to loose. But who cares right? there's always Monday to star over, anyways the highlight of this time of the year is Black Friday... yes the day where so many people go out there and try to take advantage of the so call sales and discounts, I must confess that I did go out there myself but I did it on my way to work, I would not had woken at 5am or midnight like a lo t of people did just to get a free mp3 player If you were one of the first 10 people to get in the store. I was in shock when I read that a Walmart worker was actually killed after he approached to open the doors and the force of the crowd physically broke through the doors and mowed down the unfortunate man.
Consumption has become a competitive sport , some especially dedicated consumers actually cut short the time they spent with their families on Thanksgiving so they could be first in line when the doors opened at 5 AM. It's funny how obsessed people can get about getting the 30" flat screen which I think they will still be around the week after and probably at a better price. Let's not forget the finance mess we are in, remember how we all fell for the notion that real estate prices could only go up so we'd better get in while we could no matter whether we could afford it or not? We could always refinance later. Look how that turned out. I know a few friends that had lost their house, is not a fun experience.
I think we need to start consuming less and giving more, isn't that what Thanksgiving should be all about? been thankful for what we have and try to give to those who are in need.
I'm living you with a shot from the beach in Santa Cruz instead of my not so beautiful picture of our turkey dinner.
